Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 13, 2026

At ReelGallary (accessible at reelgallary.com or via local instance), we prioritize your privacy. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, process, and protect your information when you interact with our website.

Disclaimer: The contents of this Privacy Policy are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. If you have specific legal questions, please seek professional legal counsel.

1. No Association with Meta or Instagram

ReelGallary is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram, Facebook, or any related companies.

2. No Hosting or Storing of Downloaded Media

ReelGallary is designed as a pass-through tool. We do not host, store, archive, or permanently save any downloaded Instagram media (videos, images, reels, or stories) on our servers.

When you request a download, the media is streamed directly from Instagram’s content delivery networks (CDNs) to your browser. Any "Gallery" feature is executed entirely client-side using your browser's local storage (`localStorage`). This data is stored on your device and is never sent to our servers. All downloaded media remains the property of its respective creators or copyright holders; ReelGallary claims no ownership rights over it.

3. Information We Collect

Since ReelGallary requires no account creation, we collect very limited information:

  • Instagram URLs: We process the Instagram post, story, or reel URLs you paste to retrieve metadata for download purposes. This information is processed in real time and is not stored.
  • Log Data: Like most websites, we collect standard server logs (such as IP addresses, browser types, referring pages, and access times) for security and maintenance.
  • Instagram Cookies: If you use the Instagram Cookies Manager feature to enable restricted downloads, the cookies are sent to our backend process only to authorize requests to Instagram on your behalf. We do not store your credentials or sell your cookies.

4. Cookies and Advertising Disclosure

ReelGallary uses cookies, local browser storage, and similar technologies to support site functionality, measure performance, and deliver relevant advertisements.

To keep our service 100% free and accessible, we work with third-party analytics and advertising networks. We classify these services into three main categories:

Necessary Services

These are essential to run the website. They are used for security, user interface basic operations, processing public Instagram URL media extraction API requests, and storing your consent preferences. These cannot be disabled.

Analytics & Performance

These services help us measure aggregate site traffic, user interactions, and performance metrics. These tools include Google Analytics / Google tag and Microsoft Clarity. They are disabled by default and will not load unless you consent to analytics.

Advertising & Marketing

These services enable the delivery of personalized or contextual advertisements to support our free operations. Networks may include Monetag, Google AdSense, Adsterra, and Media.net. These are disabled by default and will not load unless you consent to advertising.

Our public content downloader remains fully functional even if you choose to reject all non-essential analytics and advertising cookies.

You have full control over these choices and can accept, reject, or customize non-essential services. If you reject them, the corresponding tracking scripts will not load or run. You can manage or reopen your settings at any time by clicking the button below:

5. GDPR Privacy Rights (European Union Users)

If you are located within the European Economic Area (EEA), you have specific rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). ReelGallary processes data under the legal basis of legitimate interest to provide the media retrieval utility.

Your rights include:

  • Right of Access: You can ask us what limited log data we have.
  • Right to Rectification or Erasure: You can request the erasure of any log data relating to your IP address.
  • Right to Restrict or Object to Processing: You have the right to object to the processing of your data for analytics and advertising.

To exercise any of these rights, please email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

6. India Information Technology (IT) Act Compliance

In compliance with the India Information Technology Act, 2000 (and subsequent amendments, including the IT Rules 2021), ReelGallary has appointed a Grievance Officer to address any complaints or concerns from Indian users regarding data privacy, content, or compliance.

For any grievances, you can contact our Grievance Officer:

Grievance Officer: Privacy & Compliance Desk

Email: [email protected] (subject line: "Grievance Officer - India IT Act")

Response Time: We acknowledge complaints within 36 hours and resolve them within 15 days as required by law.

7. User Copyright & Responsibility

You are fully responsible for ensuring you have the right to download, view, or store any content retrieved through our website. ReelGallary does not facilitate copyright infringement, and we urge users to download media only for personal, fair-use purposes.

8. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We encourage visitors to check this page periodically to stay informed about how we protect user privacy.
